The Real Deal

I'm working on reinventing my breakfast from the boring, from the fast-way-out option, to transforming the meal into something more wholesome, and giving. My cold cereal has been becoming more honest. It starts with a simple cooked grain, and store the cooked grains in glassware for up to a week. The grain is a blank canvas to the endless possibilities.

Directons: Cook 1 cup of (quinoa, spelt, brown rice, millet) to 2 cups water, add 1 tbsp flax or chai seed, add 1 cup of milk (soy, almond, hemp, rice), agave nectar or maple syrup to desired sweetness, add 1/2 tsp of cinnamon/nutmeg and any kind of nut and/or fruit to your heart's content.
