while in alaska, i taught myself to knit. however, i really only learned the basics; cast on, cast off, and made a few hundred scarves, and had given up on the task after nurturing little cosette. i decided to pick up my "I Taught Myself Knitting" book purchased from Joann's, and self teach myself again. as you can tell from my photo circa "07" and happy-go smirk, knitting ain't no joke.
i really wish i could knit more than scarves for the season. in fact, i would love to knit some warm *socks (hats, toys, even a block) for my babies, and have a reason to stash some beautiful fibers in the corners of my home. however, i realize i have to start back with the basics.
if you are a knitter, and have any books, blogs, suggestions, etc that could help me on this path to experience-knitter status, let me know.
